Overview:
This program trains students to provide compassionate, non-medical care to the elderly, children, disabled individuals, and those recovering from illness or surgery. Graduates will assist with daily living activities, basic health monitoring, and emotional support in homes and care facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily tasks (bathing, grooming, feeding)
- Support medication routines and health monitoring
- Offer companionship and facilitate activities
- Perform light housekeeping and meal prep
- Aid in exercises under supervision
- Ensure a safe, comfortable environment
Scope:
Caregivers work under supervision and are not permitted to perform medical treatments or procedures.

Internship Fee: ₦50,500

Nursing Assistant
7 Months | Onsite & Online | Diploma Program
Class Days: Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays
Overview:
This program prepares students to support nurses and physicians in hospitals, nursing homes, and home care settings. Training covers patient care, vital signs monitoring, and basic medical assistance under supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with hygiene, mobility, and feeding

Scope:
Work is supervised by licensed nurses. Nursing assistants do not give medications or perform advanced medical procedures.

Mental Health Assistant

Laboratory Assistant
4 Months | Onsite & Online | Diploma Program

This program prepares students to work in medical laboratories, supporting lab scientists and technicians in hospitals, diagnostic centers, and research facilities. Training covers specimen collection, basic lab procedures, equipment handling, and infection control practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and label blood, urine, and other specimens
- Prepare samples for testing
- Clean and maintain laboratory equipment

- Ensure proper storage and disposal of samples
- Follow safety and infection control protocols
Scope:
Work is supervised by licensed laboratory scientists. Laboratory assistants do not perform diagnostic interpretations or advanced testing procedures.

Program Requirements

- Requirement: 5 credit passes, including English & Mathematics (WAEC, NECO, or equivalent)

MDCN Preparatory Program
- For foreign-trained doctors only
Certificate in First Aid/CPR
- Open to all – no prior healthcare background required
Application Form: ₦5,000
Attendance Requirement: Minimum 80% attendance to sit for final exams and graduate
Internship:
- Mandatory for all diploma & certificate students
- To be completed at MedScholar partner hospitals or an approved facility
